Talkbet

Hi. Congrats on a decent profit for the month, even if its not at the level you had got used to! Quick question, just wondering how do you choose which races you are going to trade ?

The Gambler.

Well done Ray. $K still not too bad for a monts effort.

Do you think you are missing trades due to the "SIS" factor as well?

Cheers.

Ray

Hi Talkbet,

Thanks for your comments. I look to trade in every race. It is only when I see a price that I think is wrong according to where a particular horse is in the field and how it is running that I will trade. As you can see most times this works for me but I do get it wrong sometimes.

Hi John,

It's not too bad a result but I just feel that I have not performed too well. I do think I would get on better with SIS but I am waiting to see what happens with both SIS and Turf tv before I take the plunge. Good Luck.

Once you have your new IT setup, if you are syill getting picked off you will know it is the "SIS factor, and can react accordingly. :-).

What difference will a new PC make? Putting £700+ on a 1.10 shows you are still prepared to bet on your current PC.

Surely the reason why you have not had as many bets lately is because since 0% commission was stopped liquidity has been dreadful.

Ray

Hi Jen,

I am still making some trades but you will see I am doing far less than a couple of months ago. The new PC and faster internet connection will give me the confidence that I have as fast a system that I can possibly get. It may just be this physcological edge that I am lacking, but if the new pc gives me it then it is money worth spending.

I do agree that liquididty has not been as good recently but then that is the same with all exchanges and although the commission rises may be to blame it may also be because we now have a lot more tennis, golf and cricket to trade on and I know that many full time traders prefer to trade these sports.

Good Luck with your trading.

Ray
