This was not a great day for the Sports Trader. I traded on 15 races and had just 1 loss but it was a big one.
I had a lot on my mind today and had to get organised to take my three youngest to their Grandfather's 60th Birthday party so my trading was not up to scratch. I started off with the 13:55 at Newmarket where I backed Menadha for £20 @ 4.00 and laid off @ 3.00 to leave myself with a profit of £10. My next 6 trades all resulted in small profits.
Then came my losing trade, in the 15:30 at Newmarket where I had laid Medley for £195 @ 5.50 at about 2 furlongs out when she was under pressure to catch the leaders. I didn't think she was about to pick up therefore I laid her. Well I was wrong and she did stay on to win by a neck to cost me £877.
My next 2 trades both ended with small profits. In the 16:20 King George V1 and QE Stakes at Ascot I backed Dylan Thomas for £63 @ 1.45 to result in a profit of £28. My next two trades resulted in small profits.

My last trade of the day repaired much of the damage I had inflicted upon myself earlier. It was in the 17:25 at Ascot where I backed Edge Closer for £673 @ 2.10 to result in a profit of £741.
My day had therefore finished with a loss of £56.
