Well what a good way to start my Blog. I have just had my most successful weekend, having said that it can only get worse now. I have been full time since 1st January 2006 and have been aiming at £100 / day profit from my trading. I have averaged well in excess of this figure and now aim at £200 / day. As many of you will know Betdaq have introduced 0% commission on all in-running horse racing and this combined with an indicator showing amount of £ matched in each race has increased liquidity substantially. In the Gold cup race on Saturday well in excess of £1m was matched. Liquidity is still not as good as with Betfair but any increase is most welcome and with the 0% commission offer I am sure more people will come on over and give it a go.
The secret to success in Sports Trading is, without doubt, discipline and combined with very fast reactions, extremely fast computer set up and fast quality pictures anyone can make this work. I will add a piece later detailing my IT set up.
I know some people do not like these blogs but I for one look forward to reading blogs by other people earning a living in the same way as me. I particularly like The Gambler and can relate to a lot of what John says and does. I also regularly read The Betfair Trader (good luck with the wedding plans) and The Smiling Assassin. I think the major problems we have in our quest to make money is that we do not have work colleagues to discuss things with and if we try to talk to friends and relations about our work they all think we are hopelessly addicted gamblers. I for one do not consider myself a gambler as I rarely take a view on an outcome to an event as almost everything I do is in-running.
Good Luck, Amigo. :-).
