It was a case of 'never mind the quantity feel the quality' today. I had a much shorter day than normal as my three and a half year old twins had their Christmas party, at their nursery school. This meant I had to miss the early racing. So the first race that I traded was the 14:30 at Hereford. I put up a back on The local for £5 @ 50.00 and got matched. I then backed Amour Multiple for £63 @ 1.80 just after he had hit the final hurdle. This left me with a profit of £45.
My next trade was in the 15:10 at Lingfield where I backed Eva Soneva So Fast for £57 @ 1.50 in the final 100 yds and thought I had won, but the photo showed my horse had been beaten by a short head on the line, so I lost my £57.
I then had my eldest son come round to visit me so I had no trades for an hour and a half. My next race was the 16:50 at Wolverhampton and here I had a really brilliant trade. I managed to back Elhareer for £1000 @ 2.65 whilst well in the lead, coming into the straight and immediately put up a lay of £1000 @ 1.50. I tried to cancel my lay soon after but it had already been matched to leave me with a profit in this race of £1150. That was the last racing trade of the day and I ended with a profit of £1138 and still no commission to be paid due to the Betdaq offer of 0% commission on all in running racing.
Tonight's football match was the game between Cyrstal Palace and Sunderland. I missed the start. I backed the under 2.5 goals market for £432 @ 1.67 with around 10 minutes on the clock. I then proceeded to lay in £50 amounts from 1.61 down to 1.40 and then in £25 amounts down to 1.30. When the goal was scored in the 41st minute I had laid back all but £50, so I was looking good. I decided to wait before backing the unders again mainly because the price offered was not too good. At half time I put up a back of £200 @ 1.58 and got it matched. I then, and still at half time, laid back the £200 @ 1.55. I decided to hold on before laying any more until the price was down to 1.25 and here I started laying in £10 amounts down to 1.07. I didn't see the need to green up as only one goal had been scored and we were now in the 80th minute. If a second goal had been scored I would almost always green up, just in case a third goes in to leave no profit. In the 90th minute I also had a very small back on the under 1.5 goal market and in total I finished the match with a profit of £88. This left me in profit to the tune of £1226 for the day.
As you all know I do not give tips as almost every thing I do is trading in running. But the one bit of advise I would give to horse racing enthusiasts is to take a look at The Betting School. Its is a club where the owners test all types of betting products including, systems, trading software, strategies and tipsters. The club then report back to members on these products. To let you get a flavour of what The Betting School can do for you they have agreed to give all my readers a free report that tells you everything that you need to know about the latest software solutions. The club will also send you videos of software in action, along with trading strategies as well as beginner videos for getting the most out of the Racing Post website and the betting exchanges.
