It's been a good day for the Sports Trader. I traded on 14 horse races, 1 football match and 1 snooker match. I did lose on 3 races but won on everything else.
My first trade was in the 13:20 at Catterick where I got myself off to a bad start by backing Sea Cove for £30 @ 2.02 on the run in and thought that I had won, only to see Southern Bazaar get up on the line and cost me £30.
My next race was the 13:30 at Chepstow where I started with a back on Classic Fiddle for £250 @ 1.50 before laying all off @ 1.41. I then backed the eventual winner, Gaspara, for £5 @ 3.00 and a further £100 @ 2.01 before laying off £50 @ 1.50 to net me a profit of £86. Next I had two small trades one profitable and one a loser.
In the 14:25 at Catterick I backed Milan Deux Mille for £75 @ 1.25 before laying off £31 @ 1.10 and also laid Spike Jones for £4 @ 10.00 to give me a profit of £16. This was followed by 2 small, profitable trades.
My next race was the 15:00 at Catterick and here I backed Sir Boreas Hawk for £100 @ 1.50 before laying it all off @ 1.25 to net me a £25 profit. I then had another 2 small, profitable trades.
In the 15:40 at Chepstow I started with a lay on Marodima for £100 @ 3.60 before backing back for £80 @ 3.90 and a further £10 @ 4.20. I also had a small lay on Laustra to give me a profit of £11 on the race.
My worst result was in the 16:05 at Catterick where I started with a lay on Aviation for £200 @ 2.00 before backing back £135 @ 1.72 to cover some of my liability and leave me nursing a loss of £103.
In my next race, the 16:15 at Chepstow I made amends by backing Gunship for £67 @ 2.75 before laying back £68 @ 1.10 to give me a profit of £111. My last race was a small, profitable one and this resulted in a days race trading profit of £131.
Again I decided to have a few trades on the football tonight in the game between Cardiff and Barnsley. I started after kick off with a back of the under 2.5 goals for £10 @ 2.00. Minutes later a goal was scored and I started to back the unders again for £40 @ 3.10. I then started to lay off for £15 @ 2.95 and £15 @ 2.70. Next a big lay was put up at wrong odds of 3.65 so I took all £139 of it, before very quickly laying off £100 @ 2.45 and then further small lays. After the second goal was scored I did not back again as I was in a position of no liability and a good profit on the unders, so I just waited for the odds to drop to 2.60 before gradually greening up my position. I did also back a few more times when the odds where too high. I eventually got myself into a position of £88 profit whatever the result and left it at that. So I ended my football trading in positive territory with a profit of £88.
You have probably all read this by now but the FIGC (Italy's football federation) has suspended all football indefinitely after a police office was killed during trouble at the Sicilian derby match between Catania and Palermo. Link to Original Story.
As soon as the football had finished I turned the tv on to tonight's snooker match between Ken Doherty and Peter Ebdon. The score was 3 -3 and Peter was just in the lead in the 7th frame. I started by backing Ken Doherty for £100 @ 1.62 before quickly having to get out of that position and starting to back Peter. In all I had 38 trades on the remainder of the match. There is far too much trading to bore you with but the end result was a profit of £518 on the match. My result for the day came in at a profit of £737.

Well done Ray,
I have found Snooker and dart profitable in the past because of the constant swings in the markets.
Good day

Hi Mick,
Yes I have always traded on the Premier League darts and find it very good to trade on. The snooker is usually too slow for me but if I can find a game that is quite evenly matched and close to finishing I like to trade them. Good Luck today.
