Hi Ron,
If you are serious about buying a new set up I would recommend that you get someone to build a machine to your specifications. You will get a lot more power and speed for your money and you will have good quality components. Good Luck.

Hi Nathan,
It's as the old proverb says 'A picture is worth a thousand words'. In my first day of posting on the blog I detailed my IT set Up, but the picture saya it better in many ways. Now you know where it is that I am chained to for 10 hours a day. Good Luck.

If i can make a go of this "which i think i can" i will certainly be investing in a good set up i have a wireless laptop at the moment and i do have a few heart stopping moments when my connection goes low lol.its gret to see how other people work.

Hi Ron,
I am no expert on computers but the advice I was given was to stay away from wireless connections for your main trading computer. This type of connection does tend to slow down your connection speeds and is prone to dropping connections. Having said that I know that all this type of technology is improving quickly. I hope you do make it trading the sports markets. Ray

Hello Ray,your innovative thinking on goals markets is thought provoking. Is there any match selection criteria ? or any game.
Also how do you get differing sums on in split seconds, during horse races. Excellent blog...must be very stressfull over the 10 hrs mentioned...the goal posts keep moving..Ted

Hi Ted,
I normaly go by the predictions on http://www.soccerstats.com/ , but having said that recently there have been a lot of goals being scored in the UK. It is unusual to get goals very early in matches, and the risk is similar for all matches as if a lot of goals are expected the under 2.5 goals price could be 2.00 - 2.40 but the price will drop faster than in a game where less goals are expected and starts at 1.60 - 1.80.
When trading horses in-running it is just a case of very quick reactions and experience that allows me to get prices matched. I have noticed that the longer I have been trading these markets the more success I have been getting, so a lot must be to do with both experience and confidence. I do not use any third party software. Thanks very much for your comments and good luck with your trading. PS Talk of experience and confidence can sound a bit arrogant but I can assure you I am not that type of person, I have tried to analyse why trading is getting better and apart from my computer system that helps me get bets on quicker it can only be experience/confidence that is the answer.
