Today was a really good day of racing with a lot of our top horses on show. I was on my own and had no interruptions as the children where at their mothers for the day. I managed to trade in 25 races with 4 losing trades. I also traded briefly on one football match.
David Stewart at HorseGraphs.com was at it again today with another 15 point win on Overstrand in the 1:10 at Ascot. These graphs are certainly catching peoples attention and I may just set up a separate account to trade on these tips.
I started the day in a bad way with my first race trade being a losing one. It was the 13:20 at Wincanton. I backed Opera Mundi for £34 @ 1.85 and £33 @ 1.80 whilst vying for the lead but he just got beaten coming close to the line to cost me £67.
In the 13:25 at Haydock I started with a back on Labelthou for £256 @ 2.30 before laying off too quickly @ 2.15. I followed this with a back for £18 @ 2.07 and a lay @ 1.90 for £20 and later laid Material Witness for £35 @ 24.00 to leave me with a profit on the race of £74.
My next race was the 13:35 at Lingfield where I laid the favourite, Barney McGrew, for £150 @ 1.71 and backed back £45 @ 3.65 to cover most of my liability and finished with a profit of £105.
In the 13:40 at Uttoxeter I backed Mr Strachan for £69 @ 1.50 and then laid it all off @ 1.15 to leave a profit of £24. My next trade was a small, profitable one.
In the 13:55 at Wincanton I laid Predateur for £92 @ 56.00 when well beaten to net myself a £92 profit. My next trade was a small losing one.
On to the 14:15 at Gowran Park. I backed Khetam for £40 @ 2.06 to gain a profit of £42. Next was a small, profitable trade.
My next trade was in the 14:30 at Wincanton where I backed Lucifer Bleu for £45 @ 1.79 before laying all off @ 1.35. I backed him again when he made a mistake at the last flight for £100 @ 1.31 and then immediately laid all off @ 1.15 to leave me with a profit of £36. I then had 4 small but profitable trades.
In the 15:35 at Ascot I managed to get a lay matched on the favourite, Shatabdi, for £144 @ 1.69 just as she made a mistake at the 5th hurdle, where she fell and was out of the race to land me a profit of £144.
My next trade was in the 15:45 at Haydock where I started with a back of £36 @ 2.80 on Joaaci before Laying off @ 2.74. I then changed tact and backed Chief Dan George for £18 @ 2.00 and on the run in I backed him again for £200 @ 1.10 to land a profit of £38. Next was a small but profitable trade.
My best result of the day was in the 16:00 at Wincanton where I backed Little Brick for £1060 @ 1.51 as Tony McCoy worked his magic to get the horse to the lead. I laid off £143 @ 1.25 and a further £146 @ 1.15 before cancelling the rest of my lays when it appeared that the horse would win easily. My profit on this race was £478.
My next race was the 16:20 at Haydock and here I backed Grand Bleu for £134 @ 1.67 before laying off @ 1.15 to leave a profit of £74. My next 2 trades where small but profitable trades.
I had my biggest loss on the day in the 16:55 at Haydock where I was probably guilty of being a little trigger happy and backed Calatagan for £125 @ 1.38 when two fences out, to see him overtaken by Regal Heights. I had no opportunity to lay off and therefore suffered a loss of £125.
My final race trade of the day was in the 17:15 at Gowran Park where I backed Cara Mara for £71 @ 1.60 to net myself a profit of £42, this resulted in a very good race trading day profit of £888.
I had little time to trade on football as I was getting ready to go out to see some friends but I had the Manchester United v Reading Cup Tie on the radio and did a little trading on the under 2.5 goals in the second half and when the score was 1 - 1. I backed the unders for £74 @ 1.91 before laying off within a minute @ 1.76. A little later I backed the unders again for £188 @ 1.40 and laid this all off @ 1.28. I then greened up with a lay for £33 @ 1.31. In the last 30 seconds of injury time I backed the unders for £328 @ 1.10 to result in a profit on the match of £56.
This rounded off a really good day with a total profit of £944.
