The Sports Trader has had a really good day which, after last weeks struggle to make a decent living, is most welcomed. I traded in 7 horse races and 2 football matches with no losing trades. I also traded during the final few frames of tonight's World snooker final, hence my late posting, which also left me with a profit but that will form part of tomorrows result due to the late finish.
My first trade was in the 14:20 at Windsor where I backed Ten Down for £33 @ 1.70 to result in a profit of £23. Next was the 14:40 at Warwick where I laid Welsh Cake for £13 @ 3.60 for another £13 profit.
In the 14:50 at Windsor I laid Road To Recovery for £15 @ 8.00 to result in a profit of £15. I followed this with a small winning trade.
In the 15:10 at Warwick I laid Captain Jacksparra for 388 @ 3.20 before backing back £28 @ 3.85 and £7 @ 10 to leave me with another £50 profit.
My next trade was in the 16:25 at Limerick where I backed Phelans Fancy as she jumped to the front over the second last hurdle for £999 @ 1.20 to land me a profit of £200.
My best trade of the day came in the next at Limerick, which was also my last race trade of the day, where I backed Optimistic Run for £795 @ 2.06, when taking the lead, to result in a tidy £841 profit.
I had finished my race trading with a profit of £1143.
After racing I watched the last few minutes of the Morecambe v York football match and in the final few minutes of injury time I backed the correct score line of 2 - 1 for £183 @ 1.03 to result in a profit of £5, and also I backed the under 3.5 goals market for £102 @ 1.20 before backing back £51 @ 1.07 to result in a profit of £24.
Later in the evening I traded in the Charlton v Tottenham match where I backed the under 2.5 goals for £250 @ 2.33 and laid back £225 @ 2.20, then the first goal was scored leaving me with a liability of £25 and a potential profit of £63. I didn't back the unders again after the goal was scored as I had to take a couple of telephone calls but I later laid £25 @ 3.00. I watched the game for a while before backing the unders again for £50 @ 2.20 which I laid off at 2.08 for £25 and 1.94 for £25. Then finally I backed the unders again for £40 @ 1.90 which I laid off @ 1.72. I then decided to green up my position so I laid a further £25 @ 1.30. I finished the match with a profit of £25 on my unders trading.
With 88 minutes on the clock I backed Spurs to win for £120 @ 1.14 before laying off £73 @ 1.12 to result in a profit of £8.
My day had finished with a very healthy profit of £1206.

Hi Gareth,
Thanks, it feels good to get a decent profit on the board again. There is aleays good liquidity on the Daq with Irish racing.
Good Luck.
