Well the Sports Trader has had a slightly more industrious day and ended up trading on 11 horse races and 1 football match, with one losing trade.
I started my trading day with the 15:20 at Wincanton where I backed Scotland Yard for £180 @ 2.25 before laying off £15 @ 2.00, £48 @ 1.91 and £116 @ 1.20. With the race turning out to be a duel with Archduke Ferdinand I backed Archduke for £7 @ 2.58 and £15 @ 2.12 to ensure a profit whichever one won the race. In the end Scotland Yard won leaving me with a profit of £120. My next trade was a small winning one.
My only loss of the day was in the 15:50 at Wincanton where I laid Matt The Thrasher for £31 @ 5.70 to cost me £146. I followed this with another small winning trade.
In the 18:45 at Sedgefield I backed Rayshan for £154 @ 1.54 before laying off £11 @ 2.67, £143 @ 2.07 and£50 @ 1.40 and in the final furlong I somehow laid the eventual winner, Contract Dancer for £104 @ 1.36 to leave me with a much depleted profit of £13.
Next was the 19:45 at Sedgefield where I laid Prince of Slane for £20 @ 6.50 before backing back £5 @ 6.50 and on the run in I backed Burren Moonshine for £200 @ 1.01 to leave me with a profit of £17.
In the 19:55 at Wolverhampton I laid Fractured Foxy for £18 @ 7.00 to result in a profit of £18. I followed this with a small winning trade.
In the 20:25 at Wolverhampton I backed Spirit of Coniston for £7 @ 3.00 to result in a profit of £14. Next I had a further small winning trade.
My last race trade of the day was in the 20:55 at Wolverhampton where I laid Cassiara for £30 @ 1.20 and backed back £1 @ 3.35 to result in a profit of £29.
My race trading had finished with a profit of £74.
In tonights thrilling Champions League Semi-Final match between Liverpool and Chelsea I only traded during extra time and penalties. I started with a back of the draw of the 30 minutes of extra time for £102 @ 1.34 before laying off @ 1.26 to leave a profit of £8.
During the penalty shoot out I backed Liverpool after Chelsea's first penalty was saved for £500 @ 1.66 and laid off a little too hastily for £386 @ 1.50 and £114 @ 1.44 to leave me with a profit of £87.
My day had finished with a profit of £169.
