The Sports Trader managed to finish the month off in style today and ended up trading 15 horse races and 1 football match with just 1 loss, all be it, quite a big one.
My day started with the 15:15 at Chester where I laid Yakimov for £10 @ 4.00 to result in a profit of £10.
In the 14:30 at Windsor I backed Impromptu for £105 @ 1.89 to result in a profit of £93. I followed this with a small winning trade.
My next trade was in the 15:00 at Newmarket where I laid Group Captain for £96 @ 6.00 to result in a profit of £96.
The best result of my day came in the 15:05 at Windsor where I backed Winged Cupid for £349 @ 2.50 to result in a profit of £523.
Next was the 15:20, Northumberland Plate, at Newcastle where I laid Sentry Duty for £50 @ 20.00 and also laid Monolith for £8 @ 44.00 to result in a profit of £58. I followed this with 3 small winning trades.
Juniper Girl (far side) beating Macorville by a short head to land the Northumberland Plate.
Then came my only loss of the day which was down totally to lack of concentration on my part. I was reading my emails and then decided to lay Out for a Stroll for £40 in the 17:10 at Newmarket, when in fact I had some how managed to lay Mugeba for £40 @ 9.80 to cost me £352, ouch. I did try to cancel as soon as I had hit the submit button but the way the Betdaq site works at present you can not cancel an order even if you change your mind once you have submitted the trade, instead you have to wait for the trade to enter the exchange and then you can cancel if your trade has not been matched. Almost every time I make a mistake the bet does go through and gets matched.
My next trade was in the 17:20 at Windsor where I laid Fangorn Forest for £8 @ 275.00 and backed Sister Maria for £382 @ 1.02 to result in a profit of £16. My next trade was another small winning one.
In the 17:45 at Lingfield I laid Alnwick for £121 @ 44.00 inside the final furlong but when well held to result in a profit of £121. I followed this with a further 2 small winning trades which ended my race trading for the day and I finished the day with a profit of £590.
I switched on the Bolivia v Uruguay football match after racing and had a small trade on the under 2.5 goals market with 38 minutes on the clock. I backed the unders for £256 @ 1.35 and laid all off @ 1.29. I then backed the unders for £67 @ 1.23 which I laid off at 1.19 just on the half time whistle to leave me with a profit of £18. I didn't trade the second half as I decided to go into Glasgow for a while.
So my day had finished with a profit of £608.
My result for the month is a healthy profit of £5250, which, considering I made a loss last week is a good effort.
After returning from my night out at around 12:30am I traded on the Venezuela v Peru football match which also ended in a profit, but as the game finished in the early hours, I will report the profit in tomorrows trading update.
