The Sports Trader had a better day today and although there was only one afternoon meeting again, due to the weather, I did manage to trade on 16 horse races and 1 football match.
I got the day underway with a back of Shaker for £12 @ 1.66 in the 14:30 at Yarmouth to result in a profit of £8. My next race trade resulted in a small profit.
In the 15:30 at Yarmouth I encountered the first of 2 losses on the day when I backed Mugeba for £25 @ 3.20 before laying off £3 @ 3.05 and £5 @ 4.00 to result in a loss of £17.
In the 16:00 at Yarmouth I backed Dawn Sky for £45 @ 1.30 only to see him beaten on the line by a short head to cost me £45. I followed this with a small winning trade.
In the 17:00 at Yarmouth I laid Desert Hawk for £59 @ 3.00 to give me a profit of £59. My next 2 races both resulted in small profits.
My next trade was in the 18:50 at Bellewstown where I laid Ryanally for £27 @ 8.00 before backing back £14 @ 14.00 to result in a profit of £13. My next 2 trades both resulted in small profits.
In the 19:50 at Bellewstown I laid Warrens Castle for £13 @ 41.00 to land a profit of £13. I followed this with 2 more small, profitable trades.
My next trade was in the 20:20 at Bellewstown where I started with a lay of Oscar Night for £112 @ 2.60 before backing back £86 @ 3.20. On the run-in I backed Aldhaher for £383 @ 1.02 to result in a profit of £34.
The last race trade of my day was in the 20:50 at Bellewstown where I laid Miss Waggles for £12 @ 25.00 and backed Gracies Choice for £370 @ 1.01 to result in a profit of £16.
My race trading had produced a profit of £112.
After the racing I watched the last 15 minutes of the Basel v Celtic football match. With just 10 minutes to go and the score at 0 - 1 I backed the under 2.5 goals market for £225 @ 1.25 and later I backed the unders again for £6 @ 1.09 to result in a profit of £64.
My day had finished with a profit of £176.
