It was a very short day of trading for the Sports Trader, due mainly to a problem with the Betdaq site in the afternoon, so I took the whole afternoon off to be with my children. I started to trade in the evening and traded on 2 horse races, 1 football match and 1 cricket match, with no losing results.
The first trade of my day was in the 19:45 at Carlisle where I laid Osteopathic Remedy for £64 @ 9.00 which started my day off with a £64 profit. My only other race trade resulted in a small profit.
After racing I got involved in the Edinburgh derby football match between Hearts and Hibs. I had missed all of the first half of the match and the score was 0 - 1 in the 60th minute when I backed the under 2.5 goals for £121 @ 1.53. I laid off £61 @ 1.36 and £165 @ 1.19 before backing the unders for a further £106 @ 1.24. This trading had be completed by the 75th minute. In the 82nd minute I greened up my position with a lay for £33 @ 1.06 to leave me with a profit of £33 no matter the result.
Once the I had greened up my football trading position I turned my attention to the Sussex v Gloucestershire cricket match. I started off backing Sussex for £311 @ 1.78 before laying off at the same price after a feeling a little uncomfortable with the trade. Later I backed Sussex again for £373 @ 1.43 which I laid off @ 1.35. I made a few more small trades to leave me with a profit of £76 on the match.
So my very short day had still produced a profit of £176.
