The Sports Trader had a short day of trading as my second eldest daughter, Josie, came to Glasgow for the day, so I missed the start of racing. I ended up trading on 10 UK horse races and 3 football matches and had 1 small loss that brought to an end another run of 54 consecutive winning trades over the last 4 days.

My first 8 trades resulted in 7 small profits and 1 small loss. My first significant trade was in the 15:55 at Cork where I laid Holy Tree for £80 @ 5.70 before backing back £30 @ 7.29 and £10 @ 12.00 to result in a profit of £40. My last trade resulted in a small profit.

I had finished my race trading with a total profit of £63.

After racing I caught the end of the West Ham v Bolton football match. With just a few minutes remaining, and the score at 1 -1, I backed the draw for £5 @ 1.20,  £240 @ 1.10 and £305 @ 1.04 before laying all off @ 1.01 to result in a profit of £26.

I started watching the Barcelona v Real Betis football match with the score at 2 - 0 and backed the under 2.5 goals for £241 @ 1.68, which I laid off within a minute @ 1.61. Later I decided to green up with a lay for 313 @ 1.16 to give me £12 whatever the final score. I had also backed the under 3.5 goals market for £578 @ 1.06 with a few minutes of the match left to result in a profit of £35.

My final match of the day was between Athletic Bilbao and Recreativo Huelva. I watched this match from the start and backed the under 2.5 goals for £84 @ 2.20 and a little later a further £82 @ 2.15. I laid off £116 @ 2.06 and £50 @ 2.06. I had to make a few phone calls hence the reason I laid off so quickly .During injury time I backed the unders again for £350 @ 1.02 to result in a profit of £35. I also backed the under 3.5 goals for £165 @ 1.08 to give me another £13 profit.

My day had finished with a profit of £171.

That was the end of a good week for the Sports Trader where I managed to finish up with a profit of £1486.

Congratulations on hitting the 100k milestone, £200k on the way eh! An inspiration to us all!

Just listened to your second interview on WUBT Ronbot Radio and was wondering about any other markets that you have found easy to trade, you mentioned the 2.5 goal market which I have used myself, albeit laying the overs as opposed to backing the unders, what other markets could you advise on which have a similar pattern, ie, slow moving and easy to trade?

Thanks very much for your comments and yes I have made a start on my second £100K.

The 2.5 goal market is the easiest to trade by far and, as far as I know, nothing compares with the ease of trading and liquidity.

All the other sports/markets that I trade are much more dependent on having a fast computer/internet set up and good quality fast live pictures. But I will list in order the markets I have most success in:

UK Horse Racing - In-running
Football - Under 2.5 goals
Match result in final few minutes in particular if there is only 1 goal maximum seperating the sides.
Premier League Darts
Premier League Snooker
20/20 Cricket matches
One Day Cricket matches
Tennis
